Ep 11 | Munda Biddi at 65 - Donnybrook to Nala Mia Hut

Episode 11 of Solo at 65 – The Munda Biddi Journey. A cold morning saw me leaving Donnybrook and setting out toward Nala Mia Hut. Before long, my familiar habit of missing turns made itself known again - this time in a way that would have far bigger consequences than usual. The trail delivered a varied mix of surfaces, from singletrack and sand to wide open riding, before leading me to a stunning blue dam with a white sandy bottom and crystal-clear water. With the heat building, I stopped for what became one of the most memorable moments of the journey - a freezing but unforgettable swim. After more singletrack, I arrived at the small settlement of Jarrahwood, where Nala Mia Hut is located. Finding the hut proved harder than expected, and the atmosphere in town left me uneasy. When I finally reached the hut, what I found there would challenge me in ways I hadn’t anticipated. This episode is a reminder that on long solo journeys, not every challenge comes from the trail itself. Music: Gavin Luke - via Epidemic Sound
