How to Rebuild an Old Book Spine for a Junk Journal | Beginner Friendly Tutorial

Have an old book cover that's beautiful but no longer sturdy enough for a junk journal? In today's tutorial I'll show you how I reconstruct and strengthen an old book spine while preserving its original charm. We'll keep the original spine in place and use simple materials like cardboard, tape, and fabric to create a stronger foundation for a handmade junk journal. I'll also show you how I create a signature template and accurately mark and poke holes for sewing.
