Atlas Mountain Adventure - Part 2 - Telouet Kasbah to Aït Ben Haddou - Film set for Game of Thrones

In Part 2 we lose the never ending roadworks and gain stunning scenery with an out of this world appearance, hence the frequent use of Aït Ben Haddou in block buster movies and TV series such as “Game of Thrones”. Our route follows the spectacular Ounila Valley carved through the red and orange rock over many millennia by the Asif Ounila (river). Aït Benhaddou is an ighrem (fortified village in English) situated on the former caravan route between the Sahara Desert and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. Inside the walls of the ksar are half a dozen kasbahs, or merchant’s houses. Ksar Aït Ben Haddou is a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
