Kate joins royals in welcoming Qataris for state visit

The ceremonial welcome will take place outdoors on Horse Guards Parade in central London, where the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales will join the Emir of Qatar and his wife. Charles, William, Kate and their guests will later take part in a carriage ride back to Buckingham Palace, attend a lunch and visit a Picture Gallery exhibition in the royal residence. The Queen will miss the ceremonial welcome during the Qatari state visit today due to the "lingering side effects" of a chest infection.
