I've been handling Mazda cars for many years, and finally got to test drive the Subaru Levorg. To be honest, I was skeptical of Subaru's CVT (continuously variable transmission). I had preconceived notions that it had a "rubber band" feeling when I stepped on the accelerator and that it was not suitable for sports driving. However, this time, I took on a long-distance test drive to experience the latest Subaru CVT control. I was surprised by how well-made it was, far beyond my imagination. The shifting feel was linear and direct, just like a torque converter automatic transmission. I personally felt that it was more "fun to drive" than the 6-speed and 8-speed automatic transmissions currently used in Mazda cars. My true feelings are that "rather than sticking to the old format, you should drive a CVT that has evolved to this point."
