If your internet speed is not fast enough, YouTube will automatically select a video quality like 1080p or 720p or lower for you. If YouTube does not automatically select 4K for you and you want to watch in 4K, please click the gear icon under the right side of the video player, and select 4K (2160p)! When we upload a video on YouTube, YouTube compresses the original video file and makes copies of the file in a number of different formats. If you click on the gear icon of a video, you'll see that you can watch a video in 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p (HD), 1440p (HD), 2160p (4K) etc. This means that if we upload a 4K video file, YouTube needs to make 8 different versions! As 4K videos are very large in size, it takes longer time for YouTube servers to process 4K videos, video processing is entirely done on the servers of YouTube, there is nothing we can do to speed this up. I do the best I can to upload the videos on YouTube as soon as possible, it takes about 10 minutes to upload the 4K video of one game, but the YouTube servers may take hours to finish processing the 4K video. And thanks for watching the videos! =) Please also note that you can view 4K videos on any screen but they will only be displayed in whatever your screen's maximum resolution is. So if you want to view a 4K video in 4K resolution, then your TV/PC/Phone needs to have a 4K display screen. If the video playback is choppy, it's likely because your internet speed is slow or inconsistent. In this case, you can try pausing the video until the entire stream is downloaded and then playing the video. Or you can lower the video quality or downscale video resolution by clicking the gear icon under the right side of the video player and selecting 1080p or 720p lower and see if it will play smoothly. If you watch the videos on your phone/TV, please use the YouTube app instead of the browsers on your phone/TV because you can zoom in and zoom out more.
