More exclusive content at www.telefe.com "Botineras" is a crime drama telenovela inspired by a global phenomenon: the lives of footballers' wives and girlfriends. It focuses on those women who seek to change their lives by becoming rich and famous through the players and their fortunes, a topic very much in the news today. Cristian "Chiqui" Flores (Nicolás Cabré) is a world-class football star living in Spain who returns to Argentina to marry his girlfriend, Margarita "Marga" Molinari (Isabel Macedo), who embodies all the characteristics of the women mentioned. But "Chiqui" also arrives with a suspicion hanging over him: the mysterious murder of his biggest football rival in Spain. Because of this suspicion, the Argentine and Spanish police launch an investigation to try to unravel the crime. Laura Posse (Romina Gaetani) is in charge of this task in Argentina. This policewoman is going to infiltrate the world of football to get close to "Chiqui" and investigate the truth surrounding Eduardo "Tato" Marín (Damián De Santo), Flores' agent, and Nino Paredes (Gonzalo Valenzuela), their lawyer. And it's Giselle López (Florencia Peña), the "queen of the WAGs," who will prepare her for the mission. Giselle runs a modeling agency dedicated to placing girls in the football world.
