In this video I entered one of the most extreme places I’ve ever seen: homes literally built over empty space, under concrete structures, with extreme heat, darkness and conditions that seem impossible. Millions of people in Manila live outside the system. Many of them don’t have access to formal housing and end up building improvised homes in places like this: under bridges, over rivers and in spaces where any mistake could cost their lives. I met a family that lives in these conditions every single day. Without clean water, without a bathroom, with extreme temperatures and often depending on what they find in the garbage to survive. But the most shocking part is not just the place… it’s their mindset.
