The Inmates - Jealousy

The Inmates son una banda británica de garage / pub rock formada a raíz de la disolución de The Fliying Tigers en 1977. A principios de 1980 ya tenían un cierto reconocimiento internacional con una versión de los Standells llamada Dirty Water y un 40 hit en el Reino Unido con The Walk. In the early 1980s they had a medium sized international hit with a cover of The Standells' "Dirty Water" and a UK top 40 hit with "The Walk" Around 1981 the lead singer Bill Hurley became ill following a breakdown and his place was taken for some time by Barrie Masters who had recently split with Eddie and the Hot Rods. The Inmates continued to record and tour with Barrie until he decided to reform the Hot Rods and Bill Hurley was well enough to return to his rightful place fronting the Inmates. The Inmates are still working and touring (2007) especially in continental Europe. After 30 years, they still have four of the original five band members, and continue to play both original songs and covers
