5 Minutes of Vestib: Optokinetic Head Roll Exercise for MDDS
For more help: Free Healing Chronic Dizziness course: https://thesteadycoach.com/free-course Membership community: https://community.thesteadycoach.com More about me and my work: https://thesteadycoach.com This video will teach you how to do a home version of the optokinetic head roll exercise. This exercise has been found effective for MDDS (Mal de Debarquement Syndrome), which is a form of chronic dizziness in which sufferers feel constant rocking, swaying or other rhythmic motion. Small studies (Mucci et al, 2018; Dai et al, 2014) have suggested high efficacy for this exercise (ranging from 40-70%) after a few days of treatment. I'd suggest doing this exercise up to 8 times a day, for 3-5 minutes each time, for 5 days. This is the standard treatment protocol. The researchers had everyone stop the treatment after 5 days if it did not change the symptoms. Keep in mind that effective MDDS treatment in many cases requires an integrative approach described elsewhere on this channel! That said, this exercise can support your recovery.
