Anti-Christ of the Bábí Dispensation

The chief antagonist of the Báb, deemed by the Guardian Shoghi Effendi as the Anti-Christ of the Bábí Dispensation, was Haji Mirza Aqasi, the Grand Vazir (Prime Minister) of Muhammad Shah (1808-1848). In this DRAMATIC READING from the non-fiction historical novel, PERSIAN PASSION, we see how that conniving and corrupt vazir also ruined Bahá'u'lláh's father. Eventually the "Haji" would induce Muhammad Shah to sign a royal death sentence for Bahá'u'lláh. Haji Mirza Aqasi thus has the dubious distinction of being the only one to have ever sought the destruction of two Manifestations of God.
