Using My Old Farm Truck To Advertise My Business Almost Backfired!
NEW MERCH STORE! https://rollingops-shop.fourthwall.com/ LoneStar Dumpster Event: https://www.lonestardumpstershowcase.com Mac Corp. 50th Year celebration: https://dumpsterlegends.com My Grain Truck Marketing Adventure: A Close Call and a Happy Ending Hey everyone! Today, I'm sharing a funny and slightly scary story about how I used my old grain truck to advertise my dumpster business. Let's just say it didn't quite go as planned! I thought it would be a great idea to wrap my old grain trucks dumpster that we got from Mac Corporation with my business logo (if you need dumpsters, give Mac Corp a call. Mention RollingOps!). It's a big, attention-grabbing vehicle, so I figured it would be a great way to get the word out about our dumpster business. The Close Call: Well, things were going smoothly until one day, I was driving the truck, and I literally started to run out of fuel in the busiest intersection in the city. I was on a busy highway, and the truck started to buck like a horse. Luckily, I managed to keep it in gear and nurse it to the closest parking lot in granny low, likely running on drops of fuel. A Near-Disaster: Imagine if the truck had died in the middle of intersection and had to be dragged out, holding up traffic during lunch hour. That would have been a PR nightmare for my business! Not the attention I'm looking for. The Silver Lining: Luckily, everything turned out okay. The incident actually sparked a lot of conversation around town. People were talking about the big grain truck with the cool yellow dumpster, and I even got a few new customers from it immediately. It helps now that there is some branding on it. The Benefits of the Truck: Now, I love driving the truck around town. It's a great way to get my name out there and meet new people. I use it for everything from equipment pickup, material loading at home depot, even running to do grocery shopping. The Bottom Line: So, while my grain truck marketing adventure almost back fired immediately, it turned out to be a huge success. It's a great conversation starter, and it's helping me to grow my business. If you're looking for a unique way to market your business, I encourage you to think outside the box. Sometimes, the most unexpected things can lead to the best results. Make sure to brand your rigs, no matter your industry, it's a giant mobile billboard! Thanks for watching! I'll be back soon with more updates on my business. In the meantime, be sure to subscribe to my channel for more content.
