The discipline is a variety in the genre commonly referred to as antipode. Antipodes (the plural form) are persons dwelling at opposite points on the globe. But, in the case of the Icarian Games, the antipodist is the porter, or the artist lying upon his back in a specially created incline chair. His job is to be a prop used only for tossing and juggling the voltigeur (flyer) with his feet - unbelievable! Their energetic performance brings down the house and their exciting choreography will raise the heart beat.
