yay college reactions :)

wow, isn't this crazy? just like that 2007's, class of 2025 is done with college applications. - - - - - - - april fools! i was actually not nonchalant when i opened them. these are my real results and lowkey my real reactions because i am still shocked seeing the letters hours after but my real first reactions will come once ive fully processed everything and feel comfortable T_T. its been absolutely crazy. also i was told this was cringe sorry lol #choosingbetweenharvardstanfordandyale #nowrongchoiceamiright but i wanted to write something about this college application process. give my two cents. im gonna be real. ive lost a lot of sleep over it. like both during, before, after. while applying, figuring out how to even submit an application was stressful. let alone all the different voices on the internet like "you HAVE to know which colleges you want before you apply to!" as a 17 year old girl who knows probably close to nothing about college, i definitely did not know what i was looking in a college. i didn't know what factors would best "fit" me. therefore i didn't even really know what to write in the "why us" essays. i was so unconfident in myself-i didn't really know how to apply so i simply did questbridge for the quickest bet but after not getting matched for questbridge (which had circumstances i couldn't control), i was devasted. i lost like all faith that i was fit for college. i saw my friend's sucessful results and other random people on the internet, and i would just feel so scared. i just wanted to be able to get enough financial aid to go to college. after applying to 19 schools + 2 state schools, i was then thrown into 2 months of trying to get financial aid and my mid-year report half way across the country and managing long-distance communication. one of the most difficult parts about this application process to me was being away from family while studying abroad. i feel like i didn't have that support at times. although, i will always have a place in my heart for my study abroad friends for filling up the gap. they definitely did a good job :) anyways, the day before ivy day was unreal and i was so nervous on the real one i couldn't sleep. getting accepted was honestly an indescribable feeling. it was like... yes. i'm finally done. i did it! i would love to answer any questions if you have any :DDD please remember to take care of yourself during the college app season!! #classof2029 #classof2025 #collegedecision #collegereaction
