NUBLAR: Kauai + Oahu 2013

This was filmed during my stay on Kauai (and one day on Oahu) from May 1st to May 14th in 2013. It was shot with a Blackmagic cinema camera and primarily a Sigma 8-16mm lens (a few scenes are shot with canon 16-35L, 24-105L, or 70-200L). I used a Glidecam HD-2000 to get the moving shots and a Konova slider for the sliding shots. I filmed in raw mode (which took up about 500GB of space per 30 minutes filmed), graded it with Adobe Lightroom, and edited in Premiere. I decided not to tweak the footage very much. The grade is my attempt at making each scene look exactly how it did to my eye the day I shot it. I didn't add a whole lot of contrast or effects to try to spice things up. I wanted to leave the maximum amount of detail and information in the highlights and the shadows to really show the full dynamic range of each scene, which is how you would see it with your eyes in real life.
