ARCA Indy Full Race | Got Milk?

Saving tires in 1 and 3, pushing in 2 and 4, is it a good strat or nah? So, basically the idea I had a few laps into the race, since I had a semi-comfortable lead was this. I’d slow slightly more in the middle of 1 and 3, maybe 1 mph more than I planned for race pace, I didn’t want to feel the RF being stressed or be tight at all through these corners. Then I’d drive turns 2 and 4 slightly harder than I had originally planned, not quite as hard as qualifying but just a tad less. I wanted to basically only spend tire when I was betting the best ‘bang for my buck.’ If I got a slow run on the short chutes that was ok, maybe I lose a few hundredths to the people behind me. My goal was to gain much more on the long straights than I’d lose on the short ones. I think it worked out well, partly due to the small lead I started with as I didn’t have to worry about someone getting a nose under me in the short chutes.
