Solo canoe whitewater training - Part Two
Part Two of this series covers Days three and four of my whitewater solo canoe training in July of 2021 at the Madawaska Kanu Center (MKC) in Ontario, Canada. In this section I experience swimming a class three rapid after a wipeout, get hung up briefly on a rock in another rapid and gradually gain experience picking my line through whitewater. I also use both a Wenonah Recon and an Esquif Pocket Canyon. It was beautiful and sunny on both days which made for some stunning river scenery while running rapids. If you enjoyed this section please return for the final segment, Part Three, when the entire class goes to the Lower Madawaska River and runs the Snake Rapids section!
