Analyst says Barrow, First Lady, and Gallo Saidy bear responsibility for NAWEC's electricity crisis.

On Tuesday edition of the “Civic Engagement” on AG Radio Bun Dawda argued that The Gambia is still battling with a number of burning national issues including continuous power shortages, economic challenges and increasing public concerns about National ID Cards and Driver’s Licenses. Bun Dawda argued that the current power crisis in NAWEC has affected businesses and homes, posing questions about investment and energy sector reforms. Meanwhile, economic pressures, such as rising costs of living and concerns about public financial management, have heightened demands for greater accountability and effective governance. According to Bun Dawda, President Adama Barrow has a vested interest in NAWEC and this was why Alpha Robinson and Nani Juwara were removed and later replaced by the current Managing Director, Gallo Saidy.
