The Plurinational Legislative Assembly approved by majority vote the first parliamentary recess of the year and will suspend all activities from July 6 to 20, amidst criticism for halting legislative work while the country faces blockades, an economic crisis, and pending urgent issues. Vice President Edmand Lara confirmed the date and assured that they will act in accordance with Article 153 of the Constitution, which establishes two 15-day recesses per year. During the recess, only the Assembly Committee, composed of 9 senators and 18 representatives, will function to address urgent matters.
