Plockton… Is this “The Jewel of the Highlands” ?

Well this was my last full day in the Highlands .. I was originally hoping to get to Glencoe for the 2nd day in a row to hike “The Lost Valley”.. but after yesterday’s hike up the Pap of Glencoe, which would of meant another 4am start and 2 hour odd drive there, I thought it best not as I was also feeling pretty sore, so I thought I’d keep it local as the weather was pretty amazing as it had been for most of my stay .. Once I got up to an early sunrise and had a quick breakfast, looking out onto Loch Duich from Nia Roo Cottage the reflections were just amazing, I then made the decision to eventually drive off to Plockton and go for a steady walk or hike, I found a nice trail leading to the back of Duncraig Castle, Plockton is known as “The Jewel of the Highlands” … and yes indeed it is, along with many many other amazing places here in the Highlands. #hiking #hikingadventures #travel #scenery #scotland #scottishhighland #castle #scotlandvlog #plockton #scottishscenery #scottishcastles #scotlandlover #scotlandlochs #explorescotland #visitscotland #highlandsofscotland #scotlandadventure #lochsandglens #lochs
