Solved. The Bega schoolgirl killings. A night of horror. In 1997, best friends Lauren and Nichole, are having a campout with friends when Nichole decides to go for a walk to a nearby town, to visit her ex boyfriend and sort things out. Lauren, 14, and Nichole, 16, live in the safe and quiet town of Bega in NSW, Australia. The girls were brought up in an environment without fear, and with the belief they could trust others in their small town. Nichole and Lauren said goodbye to their friends and set off into the night. This would be the last time the girls would ever be seen alive again. Six weeks later, the girls bodies were found.
