2000 FPM Otis Compass Elevators at Central Park Tower - TALLEST / FASTEST IN NORTH AMERICA

These are the beautiful Otis Compass elevators at Central Park Tower (217 West 57th Street) in New York City, accessible only to the richest of the rich. These have a travel distance of nearly 1,500 feet which is higher than any building in North America, surpassing the One World Trade Center service elevators by more than 200 feet! I was quite literally the highest person in NYC for a solid 30 seconds on the 136th floor. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a full ride down from 130 nor was I able to access the machine room.
