Hydrocarbons Ministry sets deadline to end the hellish lines at gas stations. Minister Marcelo Blanco stated that gasoline sales are expected to be normalized throughout the country by the end of the week, following 51 days of blockades and widespread shortages. "Demand is very high due to the long lines," the minister admitted. To expedite deliveries, the government sent gasoline samples to Cochabamba on a DGAC (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) plane and even chartered aircraft to "speed up the quality verification process." In La Paz and other regions, vehicles have been waiting in line for up to five days.
