JR West operates commuter express trains that cater to commuter and homebound demand centered around Osaka Station. There are three routes: "Harima, Biwako, and Yamato," which are collectively called the "Raku-Raku Series." The "Raku-Raku Harima," which began operating between Himeji and Osaka in 2019, is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, and has expanded its operating area twice during that time.
