Gen Z Doesn’t Party Anymore… They Aura Farm

Gen Z doesn't party anymore, they aura farm. I just came back from a party and I had to come on camera and rant about this because I'm genuinely frustrated. The past few parties I've been to have been absolutely terrible and tonight I just couldn't take it anymore. Real talk: I got to this party and all the dudes were on one side of the room and all the girls were on the other side. Nobody was mixing. I'm like why isn't everybody coming into one big circle and dancing? So I hop in the middle and start top rocking trying to turn the function up. The only people hyping me up were my sister and my two friends. Everyone else was just standing there bopping their heads with their hands in their pockets. When I stopped dancing and looked back, nobody hopped in the circle after me. They were all just standing there in their North Face jackets trying to look cool. Dudes in the corner the whole night not contributing anything to the party - just aura farming hoping a girl would come up to them. Then some guy comes up to me after and says "yo bro you killed that." I'm thinking why didn't you hop in behind me? Why are we having this conversation on the dance floor instead of dancing? The only time everyone got hype was when a certain song came on and they all pulled out their phones to record. Everyone jumping around partying for their phone. Then as soon as the song ended, phones go back in pockets and everyone goes back to standing around doing nothing. People are so scared of losing aura or looking bad in front of girls that they refuse to have fun. They'd rather stand there looking cool than actually enjoy themselves. It's embarrassing.
