Verses of healing | Ayat ash-shifa | آيات الشفاء

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Bismi Allāh ar-Raḥmān ar-Raḥīm In the Name of Allah Most Merciful and Compassionate ‎﴿وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِينَ﴾ (7) wa-yashfi ṣudūra qawmin muʾminīn And solace the breasts of a people who believe At-Tawbah (Repentance) [9:14] ‎﴿وَشِفَاءٌ لِّمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ﴾ (7) wa-shifāʾu llimā fī ṣ-ṣudūr And a sovereign remedy for all that lies within breasts Yūnus (Jonah) [10:57] ‎﴿فِيهِ شِفَاءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ﴾ (7) fīhi shifāʾu lli-n-nās In which is a cure for men An-Naḥl (Bees) [16:69] ‎﴿وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ القُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾ (7) wa-nunazzilu mina l-Qurʾāni mā huwa shifāʾun wa-raḥmatu lli-l-muʾminīn And We reveal of the Quran that which is a sovereign cure and mighty mercy for true believers Al-Isrāʾ (The Night Journey) [17:82] ‎﴿قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاءٌ﴾‏ (7) qul huwa li-lladhīna āmanū hudan wa-shifāʾ Say: ‘It is to those who believe a mighty guidance and sovereign cure’ Fuṣilat (Expounded) [41:44] ‎﴿وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ﴾ (7) wa-idhā mariḍtu fa-Huwa yashfīn And when I ail, restores my health Ash-Shuʿarāʾ (Poets) [26:80] ------- About the verses of Healing: Imam Abul Qasim al-Qushayri (rahimahu Allah) said: “My son fell seriously ill. I then saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in my dream, and he said ﷺ: What happened to you? I said: The state of my son. He ﷺ said to me: What about the Ayat of Shifa? I said: I don’t know them. – So I prayed heed and recited the Khatam of the Noble Quran, and every time I came a across a an ayah where the word Shifa is mentioned, I gathered it. I found them in six suras of the Quran.
