Mitsubishi DOAS DD Lifts - White City House Hotel & The Helios Apartments In London, England

IMPORTANT INFORMATION These are the only lifts I filmed in this property as I didn’t have time to do the rest of the other lifts ABOUT THE PROPERTY This Television Centre was formerly the headquarters of the BBC from 1960 until 2013 but in 2017, it has now been transformed into a broadcasting studio, offices, 4 star hotel (White City House) & Residential (which consists of 2 blocks called “The Helios” & “The Crescent) complex WHERE ARE THESE LIFTS LOCATED These lifts are located inside the combined 4 star hotel and The Helios apartments which are both in separate entrances LIFT ARRANGEMENT There are 4 lifts here (cars A - D) but these are in a rather odd setup because when you go in one of the entrances, there are 2 lifts serving the floors the hotel or the residential it goes to. If you come out on floor -1, the 2nd floor or the 3rd floor, you will now see another 2 lifts as those floors are both for the hotel and the residential sections. When you get out of the gym on floor -1 or and your apartment or hotel room on the 2nd floor or the 3rd floor, you need to make sure that you are in the correct lifts as these are basically 2 sets of 2 lifts in separate controllers as cars A & B are for the hotel section and cars C & D are for the residential section ABOUT THESE LIFTS These lifts were originally a set of 4 1960s Otis lifts until they have been modernised in the 1980s by Otis Elevonic 401 series 1’s with American features which includes the floor passing chime, button panel & the star symbol indicating the emergency floor. In 2017, these lifts have been completely replaced with epic Mitsubishi lifts with DOAS destination dispatch. As these are 2 sets of 2 lifts, there are 2 destination dispatch panels right next to each other as the panel on the left is for the hotel section (car C & car D) and the panel on the right is for the residential sections (car A & car B) SECURITY FEATURES FIR THESE LIFTS For the residential section only, floors 2 - 8 are locked off with built in keycard readers on the destination dispatch panel but you can access the 2nd floor and the 3rd floor by using the lifts in the hotel section TIMESTAMPS 0:34 Car D 1:46 Car A 2:34 Car C (Up Journey) 3:19 Car C (Down Journey) BEFORE THE MOD OR REPLACEMENT Here are the lifts before the replacement when these were American Otis Elevonic 401 Series 1’s.
