I left My Jewish Family in NYC for Israel
Three years ago, amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, I left my family in NYC and moved to Israel on a one-way ticket (aka making Aliyah), not knowing in the slightest what my life there would look like. All I knew was it was something I believed in and was not going to second guess any longer. As fate has it, I moved, built a home (or two), met the most incredible friends who became like family, and experienced Israel in a way I could have only dreamed of. Three years later, I've chosen to be back in NY, once again not so certain what the future holds. All I do know is that Israel is and will always be part of my story. In exactly what way -- that part of the story is still being written. #myisraelnarrative #home #israel #jerusalem #telaviv #yearning #searching #living #newyork
