It involves the use of various information technology tools and systems in pharmacy settings to streamline processes related to medication management, dispensing, administration, and monitoring. After completing pharmacy school he underwent 2 years of pharmacy residency training, with a PGY2 focus on Pharmacy Informatics. Since then he has held a variety of positions including a Medication Management Informaticist at Mayo Clinic, and clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy. He also has a strong interest in higher education and completed his Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2020, and is in the process of obtaining a Graduate Certificate in biomedical informatics from Stanford University School of Medicine. Outside of his professional life, Brian has always had an entrepreneurial spirit that has inspired him to found the "Pharmacy Informatics Academy" and "Brian K Fung Media LLC." He serves as a Health Data Architect for "Verily." As a proud advocate for pharmacists and technology advancement, he has grown a considerable following via social media platforms, including YouTube (with over 1 million video viewers) and LinkedIn.
