Taking My Comprehensive Exams (Part 1) | How I Studied For My PhD Qualifying Exam (And How It Went!)
Hello! I'm Sarah, a second year PhD student in Religious Studies. It's been a long time since I posted a video here, but I thought I'd share some of my journey with taking the first part of my PhD qualifying exams. It was an intense process, and I'm so glad to be done (the first half, anyways!). As well as documenting this roller coaster of an exam period, in this video I share what I think are some helpful tips for studying for comprehensive exams (i.e. having an organized note-taking system), and what are most definitely some things to avoid doing while taking the exams (i.e. completely throwing time-management out the window). It may be that this vlog is more of a "what not to do" when studying for and taking qualifying exams, but that can be helpful too, right?
