Thirty-five-year-old Kristine Melton and 43-year-old Diane Ruiz were strangled as part of a cross-county crime spree in October 2019. Melisa Montanez, an ex-girlfriend of Wade Wilson, was able to escape his attack that same day. Montanez said Wilson called her using Melton's phone and tried to pick her up in the stolen car.
