This is the album that started to bring the band worldwide success with anthems like "No One Like You", "Blackout" and 'Can't Live Without You"..and was the precursor to the blockbuster Love At First Sting album that came in 1984 and cemented the bands success with the monster hit "Rock You Like A Hurricane." One of the gems hidden inside of Blackout is the ultra catchy and upbeat "Dynamite" which is the subject of today's lesson. Guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs had become a formidable guitar team during this era of the band. The riff features pedaled notes based on an F# minor root and notes from the minor scale, similar in some respects to "Crazy Train" by Ozzy/Randy Rhoads. Other than the fast tempo nothing too hard here. Take care to play along with the original to match the feel. Standard tuning. Enjoy, and rock on!
