Russian Lapland. Lapland is located on the territory of four states - Norway, Finland, Sweden and Russia. In Russia, it occupies most of the Kola Peninsula. The very geographical name - Lapland, has sunk into the past. Previously, this was the name of the land where the northern people lived - Lapps or Sami. They have always been forced to live between several peoples, cultures. But they managed to preserve their culture, their customs. Most of the Saami live in the village of Lavozero. It is the capital of Russian Lapland. Nature for the Laplanders is filled with good and hostile spirits. We are going to this land, which awakened the imagination of storytellers, attracted travelers and scientists.
