The Greg Kihn Band is an American rock and power pop group formed in 1976 in San Francisco, California by frontman Greg Kihn and bassist Steve Wright. They became known in the early 1980s for hit singles like “The Breakup Song (They Don’t Write ‘Em)” and “Jeopardy,” blending catchy melodies with classic rock and pop‑rock energy. The band was active through 2019, performing and recording with various members including Greg’s son Ry Kihn and Robert Berry. In 2024, Greg Kihn passed away at age 75, leaving behind a legacy of influential rock music and enduring popularity on streaming platforms and classic rock playlists
