In the UK, journalists can legally use portions of copyrighted footage without permission if the use qualifies as fair dealing under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (CDPA) Photo Of Christa Ackroyd Last night I travelled to Leeds to hand out care packages to the homeless community. Each pack included coats, hats, gloves, socks, hygiene items, food, and other essential supplies to help people survive the cold nights. While doing this positive outreach, we were verbally attacked by three unknown women who didn’t want us filming — even though the camera was only rolling for our own safety and defence, as we always film in public for transparency and accountability. One of the women said she was a national journalist for channel 4 and Netflix This vlog shows the reality of homelessness in Leeds, the challenges people face on the streets, and the dangers that come with trying to help.
