Pobrecitas mujeres: Azucena Maizani (1927)

tango argentino written by Enrique Maroni and Fausto Frontera Azucena Maizani (1902 - 1970), "La ñata gaucha", was the supreme female tango singer in the 1930's. Her career covered the full range available to a tango artist: theatre, film, radio and records. Poor little women: The singer advises a young woman that if she goes around ditching men ('Your victims ... all cry "Betrayal!" when you pass by'), it is only fair to expect similar treatment from them. 'It's useless to talk of forgiveness. Grin and bear it, girl, that way you'll learn!'
