Trains at Basingstoke, SWML - 24/1/19

Welcome to Episode 124 of Rover! Today I am at Basingstoke on the South Western Main Line where services are seen by South Western Railway, CrossCountry and Great Western Railway. Basingstoke was the best station of the day for this trip, there was an excellent amount of variety on show and plenty of freight also coming through during the time I was there. Basingstoke saw some excellent passing South Western Railway services as well as there are hourly non-stoppers. The stopping trains came at an excellent variety too as you'll see in this video and a few more trains came into play here as this is the junction for a couple of lines. This station also retains the classic announcements of Phil and Celia which is always nice as it is nostalgic from my childhood. An absolutely fantastic station, highly recommended.
