To commemorate the start of through service between the Sotetsu Line and JR lines on November 30, 2019, Sotetsu Holdings Co., Ltd., a member of the Sotetsu Group, released the "100 Years Train" commemorative movie on November 28, 2019. The movie, starring Fumi Nikaido and Shota Sometani, depicts the 100 years of history of the Sotetsu Line, marking the line's opening to the city center. To portray each era—Taisho, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa—the trains, costumes, and artwork are all realistically recreated to depict the time, and each story tells a love story between a man and a woman set in each era. The music featured in the movie is a mashup (a musical technique in which one vocal track and one accompaniment track from two or more songs are mixed and layered to create a single song, like an existing song) of two existing songs: "Bara no Hana" (Bara no Hana) by Quruli and "Native Dancer" (Sakanaction). Additionally, the mash-up song is sung by yui, currently active in FLOWER FLOWER, and Ryo Mizoberi of odol, further enhancing the worldview of the movie. The movie begins with a scene in which a woman played by Fumi Nikaido falls in love at first sight with a man played by Shota Sometani. It then unfolds a heartbreaking love story of a man and woman who repeatedly reunite and then miss each other across the ages, and ends with a scene in which their relationship changes as a result of direct service. Each era is realistically expressed through the use of iconic trains, costumes, and artwork, primarily photographs, representing each era. Kimono and hakama costumes are featured in the Taisho era, re-tailored kimono costumes in the Showa era, gyaru fashion and B-boy style costumes in the Heisei era, and costumes that emphasize diversity in the Reiwa era. At the end of each era, a "photo that symbolizes the era" is displayed, representing 100 years of history through black-and-white photos, photo booths, smartphone screens, and more. The cast also includes a diverse cast, ranging from children to seniors. Among the passengers are notable figures from various industries, including Reina Hoshi, a mom influencer in the Reiwa era, and Kei Hayase, who stars in a popular online drama series among young people. The insert song mashup, inspired by the movie's theme of "connecting," combines existing songs by two artists to create a new song.
