A Fantastic Level in a Mediocre Game
I have always been a fan of Ghost Recon, and I always liked how different it felt from other shooter games. Unfortunately, the current state of the franchise does not look very promising, considering it took Ghost Recon Breakpoint countless updates and hundreds of mods to become bearable. I remember the days when Ghost Recon offered a unique experience. Future Soldier, in particular, brought innovative systems and mechanics to the table. That said, I can't deny that even that game had a lot of fundamental issues that made it fall into the category of an average action game. Yet there is one mission that made me think, "Wow, am I really playing a Ubisoft game?" In this video, I explore the brilliant design of the level Ember Hunt in Ghost Recon Future Soldier and how it gives us a glimpse of what the franchise could have become. Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments. #ghostrecon #ghostreconfuturesoldier #videoessay #gameanalysis #retrospective
