Uma CONSTRUÇÃO que RESPEITA a NATUREZA

At Fazenda Rochedo da Serra (@rochedo_da_serra) in Itacaré, Bahia, Flávia and Claudio Moura Costa envisioned their dream home and, with the help of engineer Paola Maroche (@paolamarrochenunez), brought it to life. The couple's ideal was to not cut down any trees, preserving the local nature. The highlight is the verandas, which allow for perfect integration with nature, enveloping the entire environment in an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The rooms in the main house include a living room, kitchen, two suites, and front and rear verandas connected by a side veranda. In addition, a nearby small house was renovated, resulting in another suite. Regarding the architectural changes, in the main house, the layout of the rooms and the facade were modified, and the house was extended, preserving only the foundation and three external walls of the original structure. In the annex, only the foundation and external walls remained, with the demolition of the internal walls and roof. The inspiration for the project came from the old main houses of cocoa farms, seeking functionality and simplicity while maintaining the charm and coziness of the residents' childhood memories. The main points and highlights of the project are related to the proposal to create a "country house," representing an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to a calmer, simpler, and more carefree life. The house reflects this way of life with its simplicity, functionality, comfort, and coziness, highlighting its integration with nature. The project is classified as a rustic and rural house, situated in the Atlantic Forest.
