61 - French market, Brocante, Flowers & Rest / Life in my French Farmhouse

A rainy morning at the market, gathered at the foot of our cathedral, collecting fresh bread, cheese and seasonal produce despite the wind. Markets are part of our rhythm here in France — not only for what fills our baskets, but for the familiar faces and brief conversations that shape our sense of community. Afterwards, we step into Olive & Bassett, a thoughtfully curated brocante where antique plates, silver cutlery and timeless pieces are displayed with care and quiet elegance. Back at the farmhouse, I share my first anemones of the year, a growing love for vintage needlepoint books and the creative ideas they have sparked. I also drive to Bordeaux to collect the paint for our upcoming kitchen renovation and speak about the vision slowly unfolding for this space.
