Mario Montoya y González Peña sabían de los falsos positivos: capitán Alfonso Romero

In an exclusive interview with La W, Captain Alfonso Romero Buitrago, a former member of the 79th Counterguerrilla Battalion in Dabeiba and convicted of false positives, addressed these crimes committed by soldiers from that military unit of the 11th Mobile Brigade. According to his account, in the 11th Mobile Brigade, which was founded in Montería (Córdoba), the Brigade's senior officers traveled to Tierralta (Córdoba) and met with paramilitaries when meetings for the Peace Agreement were being held in Ralito. There, he learned of the paramilitaries' ties to the military. Furthermore, he indicated that Montoya and González, as well as other officers, in their chain of command, knew about these crimes.
