Vanguard Nakiri (designed by Tuff Knives)| Unboxing; No Talking

Unboxing the new Vanguard Nakiri designed by Tuff Knives's Geoff Blauvelt with the matte DLC finish. This is my first Vanguard knife. So far, I’m quite impressed with the build quality, fit and finish. The DLC is also well done and, although matte, it’s not chalky. The blade is a large, clever-style piece of M390. There’s a full-length fuller with cutouts in places. The one complaint I have is the blade’s height shortens as it get to the tip, but the degree of the primary bevel stays fixed. This means the secondary bevel (sharpened edge) gets thicker and thicker. The behind the edge thickness is substantial at the tip. The action is wonderful. Good detect, crisp deployment. Smooth, frictionless, and drop-shut.
