Bishop George Pearce, Diocese of Providence, RI Father Joseph Leo Iannuzzi holds a doctorate from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He has earned five postgraduate degrees, with studies in medicine, music, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, and theology. In 1988, as a young medical student, Joseph visited a Marian shrine where he was inspired to enter seminary. In 1991, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy and was awarded the Kilburn Prize. Incardinated for 15 years in Italy, Father Iannuzzi studied Italian, Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and other languages. He also earned a STB, an M.Div., an STL, and an STD, as well as a Doctor of Theology, with a specialization in patristics, dogmatics, and mysticism. Father Iannuzzi was One of four students selected to receive a scholarship from the Pontifical Biblical University in Rome to study theology in the Holy Land. While in Rome, he assisted the exorcist of Rome, Father Gabriel Amorth, and wrote several books on prophecy and revelation. He appeared on EWTN and hosted several national television and radio programs. He has translated numerous theological works into English and is the author of seven publications.
