How to Foster Curiosity in Children with Elizabeth Bonawitz | HGSE Faculty Insights

Curiosity is present from birth, but there are questions about whether or not we are able to continue to foster curiosity during childhood which can later impact their learning, growth, and the joy of discovery. Elizabeth Bonawitz, an associate professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, explores how to address this challenge with practical solutions to fostering curiosity in children to promote deeper learning and engagement throughout the lifespan. Bonawitz teaches a course called "Curiosity and Learning Development." Her research with the Computational Cognitive Development Lab focuses on how children learn and revise their beliefs.
