314. Les 3 activités d'écriture Montessori que j'ai changées (Redif)

Montessori pedagogy is universally considered excellent for learning to read, and recent advances in neuroscience provide the explanation: it perfectly respects how the brain works! However, when it comes to learning to write, the picture is more mixed. Everyone agrees on the value of Montessori pedagogy for knowing which letter to trace to represent a given sound, or for absorbing the letter's shape. However, regarding the tracing itself, Montessori activities have a number of shortcomings, identified for years by Montessori educators themselves. That's why, in my own training programs, I've decided to make significant modifications to three major Montessori writing activities, taking into account advances in graphopedagogy, that is, the pedagogy of learning to write. These are changes I'm sharing with you today, in the hope that better practices will develop in the Montessori method of teaching writing.
