How to Control Asian sprangletop (Ghora ghas) from Rice | Crop Reformer

Asian sprangletop or Chinese sprangle/ Ghorra ghas (Leptochloa chinensis) has emerged as threat weed in rice zone of Punjab. It has mimicry with rice plants during the 1st 20-30 days after sowing, is a very troublesome plant and considered as hard–to-kill weed in the rice fields. Under the light of recent research, we have concluded that it can easily be controlled at 3-4 leaf stage by spraying Greensun (metamefop) Evyol group @ 500 ml/acre. It can also be controlled with the same dose at advanced stage of one month or so but tank mixing of 800ml bio enhancer (adjuvant) is needed in this case. In case of severe infestation and too later or advanced stage of 2 months or even later, 1000 ml dose of Greensun plus 800 ml bio enhancer spray along with 120 liter of water is suggested for effective results. #rice #GhoraGhas #herbicide #cropreformer
