Bile Sludge: Accumulation of thickened bile material. Bacterial Infection: Infection leading to inflammation and obstruction. Tumor Growth: cancerous growth compressing or invading the stent. Plastic Stents: Temporary Solution: Typically used for short-term relief. Cost-Effective: Less expensive than metal stents. Easier to Replace: More easily removed or replaced if necessary. Normalising Bilirubin Levels: Blood Tests: Bilirubin levels in the blood return to the normal range (0.1–1.2 mg/dL for total bilirubin).
