Dilatación y raspado

http://www.nucleushealth.com/ - This 3D medical animation explains the Dilation and Curettage (D&C) procedure. There are two variations of this procedure: Diagnostic and Therapeutic. The diagnostic version removes a small sample of the uterine walls for biopsy. The therapeutic version removes the entire uterine wall to treat a known problem. A D&C procedure begins like a routine pelvic exam, but with anesthesia. A speculum is then inserted, and dilation rods are used to open the uterus. A hysteroscopy may be performed at this point. Finally, a curette is used to complete the desired version of the D&C. ANH00033es
