Awhile back you guys reacted to my request for Franz Biebl’s (Frahnz BEE-bil) setting of the Ave Maria sung by Voces8 (Voh-chez ate). Tuckr23 wrote in the comments to check out their rendition of Carrickfergus, which is an Irish song that’s even more haunting and emotional than Danny Boy. So I found the video and listened to it, and she was absolutely right to recommend it. Full disclosure: I got pretty choked up listening to it, and I usually avoid requesting anything that’s too sad because I feel bad about making anyone else cry. But you know what?
